About Me
I’ve always been a storyteller. From a young age, I was drawn to the narratives unfolding around me; the people, the cultures, the systems shaping our lives. That insatiable curiosity laid the foundation for my work across Media, Social Enterprise, and Strategic Development.

Over the past two decades, I’ve built a career that bridges creativity and impact, supporting organisations, social ventures, and communities to not only be seen but to thrive.
Whether I’m consulting in a boardroom, facilitating training, or capturing stories through film, my work is rooted in the same mission: to empower transformation that lasts.

My Journey

I got my start at 16, diving headfirst into music journalism and community radio. That early break taught me the power of stories and how media could shape minds, movements, and moments.

After studying Media and Communications at Birmingham City University, I moved into the world of mainstream TV and radio, working with some of the UK’s biggest broadcasters and production companies including Channel 4, ITV, Endemol Shine, BBC, and Premier Christian Radio. Those years gave me a solid grounding in storytelling, production, and how to truly connect with various and diverse audiences.

By 2011, I found myself drawn to something more grassroots. I ran my first youth media project, and when I saw the impact it had, I knew I had to do more, so I founded Open Lens Media; an Employability, Development and Engagement Social Enterprise utilising creative approaches in Media and Digital Technology to provide employability, educational, and community consultation services to young people and youth-focused agencies.

As much as I loved being a part of the development and progression of young people within the region and providing opportunities, I never lost my love for narrative led content. So in 2015 I founded Open Lens Productions; a dynamic film, video, and audio production company crafting powerful, story-driven content for brands, organisations, and changemakers.

Since then, my debut documentary series BLACK was nominated for a Midlands Movie Award, and in 2021 I launched The Social Corner, a talk show platforming honest, impactful conversations with social innovators and cultural leaders.
What I Do
Today, I am the CEO and Business Director of Open Lens Media, leading a growing team as we work toward sustainability and expansion across the Midlands and beyond.

I’m also the Founder and Executive Producer of Open Lens Productions, developing strategic partnerships and producing narrative-driven content for premium brands, commissioners and mission-led creators.

As a Consultant, I support organisations working to create meaningful change through values-led training and strategic business development.

I’ve developed and supported successful initiatives across Education, Youth Justice, Health, Social Housing, and Youth Development, helping clients improve internal practices, influence policy change, strengthen strategy, and build long-term sustainability through successful social business models.

My work has generated over £4.5 million in funding and investment for social organisations and initiatives, and I’ve partnered with global organisations like FIFA, The National Lottery Fund, and Pret A Manger to drive impactful, socially responsible outcomes.
What Drives Me

I care deeply about Impact, but not the kind that dries up when the funding or investment does. For me, it’s not just about doing good work, it’s about building systems and models that last.
Whether it’s a community programme, a creative campaign, or a strategic shift inside an organisation, I care about meaningful, sustainable change; the kind that works today and still works five years from now. That's what drives me.
